Typhoon Nonoy Latest PAGASA Update- Sep 8

Bagyong Nonoy (Tropical Strom Nonoy) Latest Update from PAGASA as at Sep. 8, 5:00PM. Earlier, PAGASA forecaster Gener Quitlong said Nonoy would likely enhance the southwest monsoon but is not likely to make landfall.

Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Gener Quitlong said the storm is likely to enter the Philippines within the day and will be locally codenamed "Nonoy."


For now, PAGASA said no public storm warning signals have been raised.
Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the Southeast will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon and coming from the Southwest to South over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
