At halftime, the Miami Heat lead the Boston Celtics, 47-40. However, things became testy late in the quarter when LeBron James attempted a drive on the basket. Boston's Jermaine O'Neal turned his shoulder toward James on the drive, which James ran into. When they separated, James threw the basketball at O'Neal's back, leading to a scrum between several other players.

O'Neal received a flagrant foul, James a technical and a double technical for Paul Pierceand Dwyane Wade following some shoving. And not to miss out on all the fouls, Chris Boshreceived a technical a bit later when he attempted to gain possession of the ball while the Celtics' player, on his back, held the ball.
